Former Vice President Joe Biden is planning to drop out of the 2020 presidential race due to health concerns, according to Infowars radio host Alex Jones, who says he’s got the info on good authority.
During a weekend broadcast, Jones played a number of recent clips of Biden on the campaign train in which he appears confused, dazed, and unable to properly enunciate his words. Also, in some of the clips, Biden is shown making reference to issues that either don’t exist or are out of context.
For instance, in one speech Biden pledges “there will be no more Charlottesvilles” — a reference to the deadly protest clash between Alt-Left Antifa factions and Alt-Right white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., last year — but then goes on to say “there will be no more Helsinkis.”
‘Helsinkis’? Finland suffered its first terrorist attack ever — a stabbing spree that left two people dead and eight wounded — in August 2017, but that incident occurred in Turku, not Helsinki. Other than that, it’s not really known what the Helsinki reference is supposed to mean.
In any event, Jones reports:
Joe Biden is privately complaining to staff and security — including his Secret Service detail that he has because he’s the former vice president — that he is 76, that he is slurring his words, he has had memory problems, and that he is even having coughing fits similar to [those experienced on the 2016 campaign trail by] Hillary Clinton.
Jones pointed out that if Biden managed to persuade enough Americans to vote for him, he would, on Inauguration Day in January 2021, be the oldest person ever to hold the presidency, and 82 by the time his first term expired. (Related: Guess who DIDN’T endorse Joe Biden for president? That would be OBAMA.)
The talk host also said that Biden is complaining that he was talked into running and convinced that he would win — that he would essentially run “without opposition,” something that clearly isn’t happening given the feisty candidacies of some of the 2020 contenders, especially Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
She essentially owned Biden at the first Democrat Debate earlier this month, though her characterization of his race record was not accurate.
“Now, he’s had the Democrats turn on him, he’s had [former President Barack] Obama turn on him,” Jones said as he put up a graphic of a Politico story headlined, “‘You have to kill the bear’: Dems attack as Biden stumbles.”
That early June story noted, “After a week of fumbles, it’s open season on the former vice president.” You don’t get much more Democrat-friendly (and, at the time, Obama administration-friendly) than Politico, which noted:
For the first six weeks of his campaign, Joe Biden largely drifted above the fray, a front-runner beyond the reach of the masses of the Democratic presidential field. His rivals publicly welcomed him into the race, and not a cross word was said about his record. Things are different now.
Jones said that Biden feels “his record is being destroyed right before his eyes as part of a larger cheap trick.”
However, Jones added, the big news is this: “Joe Biden is currently intending to drop out of the 2020 race, potentially even before the next debate coming up at the end of the month in Detroit.”
He’s looking for a way to “gracefully exist,” Jones says he was told by sources with knowledge of Biden’s thinking — before the debate if possible or after if that’s easier.
Jones also said that if he’s attacked again on stage by his Dem rivals, he will release “massive amounts of dirt” on candidates to protect his legacy and then exit the race.
It’s a fascinating interview — catch it all here.
